Welcome to Truffoir - Transylvanian Truffles!

We have established our company with the aim to rediscover the forgotten underground treasure in Transylvania, the mushroom that once was widely collected in this area and sold in Europes important markets.

Our fresh truffle is available from June till January in quantities depending from the season, which can be bought after our flexible trade policy. If you have any kind of special demand regarding the species or the quantity of the products, please let us know, and we will try to fulfill your demand with our international partners in the shortest period of time possible.

Please find below the truffle species and usual available quantities we can provide during the season in Romania and Hungary. Prices will be only available when the season starts.


1. Summer truffle (Tuber aestivum) between 15 July 15 Dec, up to 200 kg/week

2. Transylvanian white truffle (Choiromyces meandriformis) 1 July - 15 August , up to 50 kg/week

3. Hungarian white desert truffle (Terfezia terfezioides) 15 Aug - 30 Sept up to 50 kg/week

4. Winter truffle (Tuber brumale) 15 Nov - 30 Jan, up to 20 kg per week

Casually, Tuber macrosporum and Melanogaster variegatus is available in smaller quantities.

Shipment can be done via air cargo, with car transport in continental Europe, or by pickup from Budapest or Brasov, based upon common agreement with the buyer.
