The “LfC” company, founded in 1989, is an unique designer and manufacturer of implants in Poland. Answering to medical needs we have created “DERO® Spinal System”, which is an innovative, interdisciplinary technological and medical approach to up-to-date surgery treatment of the spine dysfunction using new generation of implants (fusion as well as non-fusion).

The DERO® Spinal System implants provide bio-mechanical support for the whole spine, from the occiput to the sacral bone and iliac alae. The most up-to-date innovations are used for manufacturing: titanium alloy, active layers, both: nano-diamond and nano-carbon, as well as PEEK (polyetheretherkethone), bone substitutes, polyester, etc. Widely conducted research and the use of the most modern experimental techniques confirmed the effectiveness of the whole system. Intensive research and development carried out by the LfC and a consortium of spinal surgery specialist and bioengineers bore fruit in the form of original products. Till now DERO® is covered by 9 patents and 4 are pending. Today DERO® is widely used in treatment - it is used in more than 100 diseases, to treat such groups as oncological, deformative, infectional, neurological and many others. The application of DERO® implants reduces the burden on the patient, significantly reduces the cost of the treatment and shortens a patient’s stay in hospital.

The excellent quality of the DERO® Spinal System is confirmed by a EN ISO 9001:2000 and EN ISO 13485:2003 certificates as well as a CE0434 marking. Quality and innovations of DERO® Spinal System were appreciated many times, e.g.: International Medical Fair – Salmed ’96: Golden Eskulap, Economic Prize of the President of the Republic of Poland 2003, Deutsch-Polnischer Innovationspreis 2003 and many others…. . Thanks to our contacts with orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons, we can see their expectations concerning spinal treatment. The LfC created new idea of “open door surgery”.
