KORAL Sp. z o.o. was established in 1957 and until 1996, it has been known us "TROĆ". From the beginning 35 employees worked at the plant. Since then the number has increased steadily, resulting in a total of 300 employees today and high quality product and service according to BRC and ISO certificates. Looking back over the company's history there are a few key landmarks. At the very beginning TROĆ, as fisherman's cooperative was the supplier of marinated fish product, and smoked mackerel, halibut and herring for the local market.

In 1990 Mr. Henryk Mielewczyk acquired company, and decided tobegin a long term process of investment. The first stage of modernization was finished in 1993. The departments: salted and pickled fish and smoked fish were enlarged and equipped with modern machines.
In 1996 company's name was changed to ZPRS KORAL. At the same time KORAL decided to introduce into the market a new brand KORAL – “the flavours of the sea" and promote the brand associated with good quality of products.

In 1999 KORAL succeeded in implementing HACCP rules in each production section. In the same year the company obtained the licence for export to EU countries, as one of the first polish food producers. Next in 2002 , FDA acknowledged KORAL as a factory, which processes accordingly to the U.S. standards.

The structural changes of the market required KORAL to adjust to these alterations to allow for the continued development. Close cooperation with leading retail chains developed sales and introduced new distribution techniques.

Now with more than 40 years of experience, KORAL Sp. z o.o. is one of the Polish leading supplier of wide range of excellent fish products preferred by retail markets around Europe. Our logistic system which follows the goods from the central warehouse to the customer combined with punctual and professional handling all the way to the market is an important part of our quality assurance system and key factors for our success.
